WHERE: Nationwide Children’s Hospital (contact Media Relations for event escort)
WHO/WHY: Nationwide Children’s designed the Kohl’s Is Sold on Safety program earlier this year with generous support from Kohl’s Department Stores. The K.I.S.S. program is a seasonal educational initiative designed to promote prevention of the most common injuries seen in Nationwide Children’s Emergency Department. Event attendees are expected from all over Central Ohio, including Marion, Delaware, Newark and Columbus. More than 200 people, including the 74 children who will receive their coloring contest prizes, are expected to attend the event to view a Kids On The Block puppet safety presentation, participate in helmet fittings by volunteers from Kohl’s Department Stores, and witness a $266,645 check presentation to sustain the K.I.S.S. program.
