Nationwide Childrens Hospital is offering a self-defense program Kenpo Personal Defense for children age 12-years or older. This interactive program teaches the basics of personal protection. Some of the program topics include the basics of self-defense grabs, vacation and travel personal protection, and ATM streetwise and personal protection. Parents are encouraged and welcomed to attend with their child.
Instructor Greg Daniels, a security officer at Nationwide Childrens, is State certified as a defensive tactics instructor, is a SIFU Blackbelt-certified Chinese Kenpo instructor and is a self-defense instructor for women. Daniels has an associate degree in criminal justice.

Cost is $20 per person or $25 for two people who sign up together. Fees include educational materials, instruction and certificates of completion. Early registration is recommended as class size is limited. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
