Biography

William Leever, PsyD, is a pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. Throughout his career, Dr. Leever has focused on implementing evidence-based treatments for childhood emotional and behavioral disorders. Currently, Dr. Leever’s work involves increasing access to care for children and families using brief psychosocial interventions, digital technology, and social support. In addition to clinical care and applied research, Dr. Leever engages in stigma-reducing educational efforts to increase awareness around the importance of social connection for children's mental health.

Dr. Leever is on the Executive Committee of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) Child and Adolescent Anxiety Special Interest Group (SIG). Dr. Leever is also an expert panelist helping to develop the Social Connection Guidelines from the Canadian Alliance for Social Connection and Health. He is also an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 53, Society for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, APA Division 54, Society of Pediatric Psychology, Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) Child and Adolescent Special Interest Group, ABCT Child and Adolescent Depression Special Interest Group, ABCT Technology and Behavior Special Interest Group, and Society of Digital Mental Health.
