Shruti Fogla, MS, is an inpatient genetic counselor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she works with families facing urgent and complex diagnoses, coordinating rapid genomic testing and providing clear, compassionate guidance during moments of uncertainty. Her clinical experience spans inpatient genomics, cancer genetics, fetal care, and variant interpretation, with a particular interest in helping families understand difficult information in ways that feel supportive and empowering. Before joining Nationwide Children’s, Shruti worked as a genetic counseling assistant and research assistant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, supporting cancer genetics clinical care and contributing to laboratory-based genomics projects. She also brings a strong foundation in communication, mentorship, and patient advocacy from her long-standing involvement in community organizations and academic leadership roles. Shruti is committed to bridging high-level genomic science with empathetic, trauma-informed care, and she hopes to continue shaping systems that improve the diagnostic journey for children with rare and undiagnosed conditions.
