Samantha Antekeier, MGC, CGC is a licensed and board-certified genetic counselor specializing in cardiogenetics research. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA in 2023 and graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with her Master's degree in Genetic Counseling in 2025. She subsequently joined the Institute for Genomic Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
In her current role, she helps bring research to the bedside, working primarily with children and families affected by congenital heart defects but also seeing patients with cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension. She occasionally contributes to research on anorectal malformations and meets with patients and their families.
Samantha is passionate about making genomic medicine accessible and helping patients and their families navigate genetic information and its implications for their health. Inspired by the profound impact that genetic and complex medical conditions can have on patients and families, she is committed to patient advocacy and to helping accelerate the path to answers and improved care through genomic research.
