Biography
Richard Fernandez, MD, is a Pediatric Cardiologist and Cardiac Intensivist at The Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Fernandez received his medical degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, also at the University of Illinois at Chicago, he completed dual fellowship training in both pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine through the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago (now known as the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago). He is board certified in both pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine.
