Biography

Elizabeth W. Barnhardt, DO, is an attending physician in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics and assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Barnhardt completed her undergraduate studies in Genetics at Clemson University, followed by earning her D.O. from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. She furthered her education with an M.A. in Educational Studies, Biomedical Education from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Barnhardt’s post-graduate training includes a Pediatrics Residency and a Fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She contributes to numerous institutional and national activities, including her role as Co-Director of the Williams Syndrome Clinic and her involvement with the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

In addition to her clinical and academic responsibilities, Dr. Barnhardt has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and has been a regular presenter at national and international conferences. Her research interests focus on developmental and behavioral pediatrics, including autism and ADHD.
