Bindu Challa, MD, is an attending pathologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She began her career as an attending at Nationwide Children’s after completing a fellowship in Pediatric Anatomic Pathology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Prior to this, she completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pathology and her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Challa’s clinical and academic interests include pediatric pathology, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology, digital pathology, and artificial intelligence. She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented her research at national and international meetings. Her research interests include gastrointestinal pathology, liver pathology, digital pathology, and the application of artificial intelligence to improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in pathology.
Throughout her training, Dr. Challa received multiple honors recognizing her academic contributions, teaching, leadership, and service, including the Distinguished Resident Award, GME Housestaff Citizenship Award, Resident Teaching Award, Fellow Teaching Award, and the College of American Pathologists Leadership Development Award.
As an attending pathologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Dr. Challa is committed to excellence in diagnostic pathology, education, collaborative research, and advancing innovation in the field.
