Benedict C. Nwomeh, MD, MPH, is the program director for the pediatric surgery fellowship and Director of Education for the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He also serves as the Surgical Director of the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Dr. Nwomeh is a professor of surgery and the vice-chair of global surgery in the department of surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Also, he is the Associate Director for the Office of Global Health at the OSU College of Medicine. The focus of his research is on understanding burden of surgical diseases and building surgical capacity in low and middle-income countries.
