Make Safe Happen

Every year, millions of children are injured in and around the home. The Make Safe Happen app is aimed at making the rooms in your home safer. Learn as you go with room-by-room safety checklists and links to recommended safety products. You can also set reminders for tasks and track your progress.

Our goal with the app is to make homes safer for children. It was built with the knowledge and commitment of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Center for Injury Research and Policy, and is funded by a grant from the Nationwide Foundation with additional financial support from Nationwide.

Since the 1930s, Nationwide has played an active role in supporting injury prevention efforts including their engagement with Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Center for Injury Research and Policy. Contributions made by the Nationwide Foundation to the hospital have supported important child safety research and most recently the development of the Make Safe Happen app.
