Parents: Avoid the Barefoot Blues

Jul 28, 2015

During summer, our urgent care sees a lot of foot injuries from kids who’ve decided to go shoeless or run through the woods in flip-flops (they are called that for good reason!). If you have those oh-so-cute open toed shoes, reconsider: it’s an invitation for scraped toes and torn toenails.

Bottom line: Invest in shoes good for stomping through fields and creeks, and show kids places that are safe for their bare, sweet little feet.

Check out the infographic below for some of the most common barefoot injuries we see each summer.
