Play Your Way
Communicate and Participate
Play Your Way is a group program offered by occupational therapy and speech-language pathology through the Division of Clinical Therapies at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The program:
- Builds on your child’s strengths.
- Helps your child regulate emotions.
- Encourages social and play skills to build friendships.
- Makes sure they are ready for school.
This group is offered for children ages 3 through 6, with an autism diagnosis or with autism traits who are not yet diagnosed. Children need to be enrolled in occupational therapy and speech-language pathology for an individual course of care before being referred to the Play Your Way group.
Your child’s occupational therapist and speech-language pathologist may refer you to the Play Your Way group. The group will run for 10 weeks on a rolling basis, which allows your child an opportunity to connect with and engage with a variety of peers.
If you have any questions about the group at this time, please email Lana Dennison.
