Biography

Samantha Boch, PhD, MS, RN, is a Nurse Scientist and Principal Investigator in the Center of Nursing Excellence and Center of Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research in the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She is also an affiliated faculty member at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, and The Ohio State University. She has over a decade of nursing experiences in corrections, public health, and academic centers. Her program of research centers on the social risk influences of health with a primary interest in understanding and mitigating the consequences of incarceration on child and family health and health service delivery. She has been continuously funded at the local, state, national, and federal levels.

Dr. Boch is committed to applying her research findings and expertise to inform care and policy and serves as a member on the state-wide Juvenile Justice and Mental Health task force, the Franklin County Re-entry Advisory Board, and the Juvenile Justice Coalition.
