Biography

Dr. Bajwa's clinical interests are Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes and BMT. His research interests include veno-occlusive disease, steroid refractory acute graft versus host disease, and chronic health conditions in the long-term survivors after transplant. Other research interests include transplant for high risk conditions, graft failure, and developing reduced intensity conditioning regimen for nonmalignant conditions. He also oversees the comprehensive BMT long-term follow-up clinic and is also involved in research in this patient population including Vitamin D status, metabolic syndrome, and endocrine dysfunction in the long-term survivors after transplant. Dr. Bajwa attended medical school at Punjabi University, Punjab, India and has also done Hem/Onc/BMT training in England, before coming to the United States. He completed his residency and fellowship at Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY.
