Biography

Nilsa C. Ramirez, MD, is the Medical Director of the Biopathology Center and Director of Autopsy Pathology at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Pediatric Division of the Cooperative Human Tissue Network (pCHTN) grant, contact PI of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) and the SWOG biobanking grants, PI of the NRG Oncology biobanking grant, and Lead Pathologist of TCGA BCR. She is also a member of the NCI’s Cooperative Group Banking Committee, serving as Chair of the Steering Committee and Chair of the College of American Pathologists Biorepository Accreditation Program Committee.

Dr. Ramirez is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and has fellowship training in gynecologic and obstetrical pathology. She is also a Professor of Clinical Pathology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
