Molly K. Ball, MD

Molly K. Ball, MD, is a physician within the Division of Neonatology at Nationwide Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics for The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Ball received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and her fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Ball's clinical, education, and research interests revolve around cardiopulmonary disease and dysfunction, including pulmonary hypertension, hemodynamics and congenital heart disease, and supporting multidisciplinary collaborative care for cardiac neonates across the spectrum of fetal, perinatal, and neonatal care. Institutionally, she oversees the Neonatal Consult program within the CTICU, is the Director of Cardiac Care-Neonatal, and the interim Director of Neonatal ECMO.

Dr. Ball is a national expert in her field; she has authored over 100 manuscripts, book chapters, clinical care guidelines and national abstracts, and serves as both an invited consultant and speaker throughout the country.  She holds national leadership positions as the founder and co-lead of the Cardiac Focus Group for the Children's Hospitals Neonatal Consortium and the NCH site lead for the Neonatal Hemodynamics Research Centre.  Additionally, shas served as a member of the National Pediatric Quality Improvement Collaborative, invited section subchair for the Neonatal Cardiac Care Collaborative, as a founding member of the LEARN-CHD workgroup and as an invited member of the Delivery Room Resuscitation for CHD Project Advisory Committee for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
