Michael Flores, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and Clinical Manager of the Downtown Outpatient Therapy Clinic at Nationwide Children's Hospital, where he leads clinical operations while continuing to provide occasional direct patient care, supervision, and training. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Flores’ clinical and research interests include assessment and treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), disruptive behavior disorders, the impact of screentime on children’s development, and the role of grandparents as caregivers. He regularly supervises psychology and child psychiatry fellows and has developed and delivered numerous professional and community educational programs focused on child and adolescent mental health.
An active advocate for children's mental health, Dr. Flores serves as President of the NAMI Mid-Ohio Board of Directors and is a contributor to the Kids Mental Health Foundation. He has been featured as a media expert on topics related to children's mental health, screen time, social media, and managing disruptive behaviors. In 2026, he was recognized as Teacher of the Year by the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University.
