Biography

Melissa Kappes, PhD, joined Nationwide Children's Hospital's Department of Audiology in 2009. She has worked at many of our Close To Home locations, our Main Campus location and as an inpatient audiologist in our NICU. Dr. Kappes works with patients from birth to adulthood performing diagnostic testing and fitting amplification.

Dr. Kappes received her B.A, M.A and PhD in Speech and Hearing Science from the Ohio State University. Her areas of interest include amplification, hearing loss due to chemotherapy and speech perception in children with high-frequency hearing loss.
