Biography
Melissa G. Chung, MD, is an attending pediatric neurologist and critical care physician at Nationwide Children's and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics and child neurology training at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Afterwards, she completed a pediatric critical care medicine fellowship and a pediatric stroke fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Dr. Chung is one of the few neurocritical care specialists in the country that is fully fellowship trained in both child neurology and pediatric critical care medicine. Her clinical interests include pediatric cerebrovascular diseases, neurocritical care, traumatic brain injury, transcranial doppler ultrasound, and acute encephalopathies. Dr. Chung is director of Critical Care Neurology within the Section of Neurology and the director of the Neuro-ICU Follow-up Clinic at Nationwide Children's. She also is an attending physician in the multidisciplinary Stroke and Vascular Anomalies Clinic.
