Biography
Melinda K. Storms RN, MS, NNP-BC, is a member of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner team in the C4A-C NICU's at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She joined Nationwide Children's Hospital in 2002, as a staff Nurse. She received a scholarship through the hospital and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master's of Science degree in 2011. She then became a board certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Corporation, completed a hospital fellowship, and began clinical practice. She is a member of NANN-NP. Professional development through NCH includes: mock code preparation, evaluation, and review; training staff for Emergency preparedness; Quality initiatives via updating Sharepoint, a central location for protocols/education, for NNPs. She has authored an abstract and other educational information related Subcutaneous Fat Necrosis secondary to Body Cooling.
