Biography

Lynda Villagomez, MD, is a physician in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant and a postdoctoral researcher at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute and Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Ohio State University. Dr. Villagomez received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital in NYC. She completed her fellowship training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and established a new institutional pathway for physicians interested in basic and translational research careers.

She is board-certified in general pediatrics. Her research interests include evaluating the tumor immune microenvironment of T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma and the development of novel therapeutics for relapsed hematologic malignancies. Her clinical focus is leukemia/lymphoma and other lymphoproliferative disorders, including PTLD and HLH.
