Biography

Jesse Padgett, MS, CSCS, RSCC*D, is a sports performance specialist at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is based at Bexley High School and oversees programming for all high school athletics and multiple middle school programs.

He holds a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) credential from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and holds various other strength and conditioning certifications. He is a certified strength & conditioning specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. In 2026, the National Strength & Conditioning Association recognized Jesse as High School Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year.

Prior to Nationwide Children's, Jesse spent seven years as a strength and conditioning coach at The Ohio State University. Jesse began his coaching career as an intern for The Ohio State University, Olympic Sports before becoming the strength and conditioning coordinator for Olentangy Liberty High School. He also spent time as a strength and conditioning coach for Elite Volleyball.

Jesse holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Ohio University and Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania.
