Hunter J. Wernick, DO, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and a faculty physician in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Dr. Wernick completed her pediatric residency at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children before completing fellowship training in Adolescent Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Wernick provides comprehensive care for adolescents and young adults with a wide range of medical concerns. Her clinical interests include eating disorders, menstrual disorders, adolescent gynecology, contraception, sexual and reproductive health, and general adolescent medicine. She enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and families, creating a welcoming environment where adolescents feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics and actively participating in their healthcare.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Wernick serves as Director of the Adolescent Medicine clinical rotation for pediatric residents and medical students and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of physicians. She is also involved in quality improvement initiatives focused on optimizing adolescent healthcare delivery, including improving the transition from pediatric to adult healthcare.
