Biography

Dr. Henry Xiang is a Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at The Ohio State University. He serves as the founding Director of Center for Pediatric Trauma Research and Research Director of Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Xiang is also the Director for Pilot Translational and Clinical Studies Program in the OSU Center for Clinical and Translational Science. His research is centered on developing innovative clinical research methods, clinical trials, medical applications of virtual reality, and global violence and injury prevention. His findings have been published in more than 230 peer-reviewed journal articles, hundreds of refereed proceedings, and several book chapters. Dr. Xiang’s research has been continuously funded by state, CDC, NIH, HRSA and World Health Organization. He received multiple national and international awards. Dr. Xiang has served and continues to serve national and international leadership roles, including the current President-elect of SAVIR.
