Biography

Hollie M. Reeves, DO, is a physician in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor – Clinical of Pathology at the Ohio State University. Dr. Reeves specializes in transfusion medicine and therapeutic apheresis. She received her medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by completion of a clinical internship at Summa Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Dr. Reeves pursued residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident. She completed a fellowship in Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Prior to her current primary role as Co-Director of Transfusion Medicine Services, Dr. Reeves practiced transfusion medicine and apheresis at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Reeves’ clinical research interests include the role of therapeutic apheresis in transplantation, transfusion practice in transplantation, and pediatric transfusion medicine. She is a member of the AABB Pediatric Transfusion Medicine Subsection Committee as well as the Pediatric subsection of the American Society for Apheresis.
