Biography

Colleen Flahive, MD, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After completing her medical education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, she completed her pediatric residency at Lurie Children’s Hospital and her pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at Nationwide Children’s. She cares for children with disorders spanning all aspects of general gastroenterology and nutrition. Her clinical and research interests include hereditary gastrointestinal cancer and polyposis syndromes as well as intestinal failure and short bowel syndrome. She is interested in therapeutic endoscopy with a focus in the use of double balloon enteroscopy (DBE) in the treatment of children with small intestinal disease. She is a physician member of the Hereditary Polyposis Team and the Intestinal Rehabilitation Team.
