The Voice and Swallowing Disorder Clinic is a multidisciplinary evaluation clinic for children with voice, swallowing, and concern for paradoxical vocal cord dysfunction difficulties.
- Video Stroboscopy - Service we provide
Patients receive comprehensive evaluations which typically include voice measures, direct visualization of the child’s vocal cords and examination of the function of the child’s voice or swallowing via stroboscopic exam and/or FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing). After the diagnosis has been made recommendations for further treatment are determined to improve the daily life of the child.
Gregory J. Wiet, MD, a pediatric otolaryngologist oversees the Voice and Swallowing Disorder Clinic. He works together with other physicians, speech-language pathologists and the ancillary health care providers from many different specialties. The comprehensive teams work together to diagnose and treat patients.
