Chris Waynar Named Site Manager of Nationwide Childrens Hospital Dublin Close To Home Center and Hilliard Close To Home Center

Chris Waynar (43065) has been appointed site manager of Nationwide Childrens Hospital Dublin Close To HomeSM Center and Hilliard Close To HomeSM Center.

In his role, Waynar is responsible for program and staff development as well as facility management, and works closely with community physicians and local organizations.

Previously, Waynar was a business process consultant in the Business Process Improvement department at Nationwide Childrens. His responsibilities included workflow analysis, time management studies and other various improvement studies designed to reduce cost and save time. Prior to his stint at Nationwide Childrens, Waynar was a safety violations investigator for the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, later assuming the role of assistant manager for its Columbus service office.

Waynar graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in health promotion (1997). He received a masters degree in public health administration from the Medical College of Ohio (2000), and completed the Ohio Certified Public Manager course in 2006.

Waynar served six years in the Marine Corps Reserve as a military police officer, honorably discharged in 1999, and served six years in the Air Force National Guard, honorably discharged in 2005.

Waynar and his wife, Marin, are the parents of a 21-month-old daughter, Cecily, and a newborn daughter, Leighton.
