Volunteer Positions

Volunteers at Nationwide Children’s Hospital provide support to patients, families, and staff in a wide variety of roles.

Some assignments have direct patient contact, others are more supportive, and all are very much appreciated!

Nationwide Children's Hospital - Main Campus

Sibling Clubhouse

Clubhouse volunteers work under the direct supervision of a staff member to play with children ages 3 and older who are siblings of patients. This area is not a day care space but rather a special support area that targets interventions to address the needs that may arise when a sibling is receiving care at the hospital. The Clubhouse is a very busy area and we rely on volunteers who are energetic, reliable, and who love to play with younger children!

Toy Washing and Playroom Maintenance

Maintain guidelines and policies for the playroom contents and play equipment, and keep the area clean, organized and safe for patients and families.

Wayfinding

This is a brand new role that we are very excited to offer at Nationwide Children's. The Wayfinding role will be to enhance patients, families, and visitors' experiences by providing wayfinding through the public areas of the hospital. It is great for volunteers who enjoy conversation, like to be on their feet and who are passionate about customer service. Volunteers will be partnering with one of the hospital’s information desks and will be partnering with the staff there.
