Thrombosis Clinic

The Thrombosis Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital focuses on the needs of children, adolescents and young adults who are being treated for blood clots, in addition to the long-term follow up of children with a history of blood clots.

All our patients are managed according to guidelines established by the International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) and the American College of Chest Physicians.

At Nationwide Children's, we provide counseling and education for children with a family history of blood clots seeking thrombophilia testing. Additionally, the clinic also evaluates new referrals for children with a history of blood clots.

The clinic is staffed by Drs. Amy Dunn, Bryce Kerlin, Riten Kumar and Sarah O’Brien in addition to a 4th year hemostasis-thrombosis fellow. Our team also includes nurses, social workers, physical therapists, genetic counselors and research staff.
