Flu Shots Available at Outpatient Pharmacies for Adult Family Members
Nationwide Children's is now offering flu shots for adult family members of patients. No appointment is necessary at the Blue, Orange or Yellow Pharmacy. No cost with most insurance. Please contact (614) 722-2160 with questions.

The Specialty Pharmacy Call Center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pharmacists are on call 24/7 for immediate patient needs.
Our Services
- Inpatient Services: The Pharmacy Department provides 24-hour services to our patients during their hospital stay. Clinical pharmacists round daily with interdisciplinary teams for nearly all patients.
- Outpatient Services: We prepare and dispense prescriptions for patients, hospital employees and medical staff at our Blue, Orange and Yellow pharmacy locations. We offer a variety of services, including influenza (flu) vaccines, non-sterile compounding and meds-to-beds services for discharging patients.
- Specialty Pharmacy Services: Our Specialty Pharmacy collaborates with medical providers and insurance companies to provide care for patients with complex medical needs.

Often there are plans by other names that are processed by the above companies; if you do not see the insurance plan listed that you are looking for, please have the prescription card handy and call either pharmacy at the numbers listed above or stop by either pharmacy.
Get Rid of Drugs Safely!
We offer drug disposal bins at our Orange, Blue and Yellow pharmacy locations so patients and families can safely dispose leftover medications.
Before you bring medications to one of our disposal bins, please:
- Read the list below to be sure your medicine is okay to throw away.
- Take the label off your medicine. (Shred-it bins are at the Welcome Desk at each entrance.)
- Make sure the container is closed tightly.
These disposal bins are not meant to be used for the following:
- Needles and other sharp things
- Thermometers with Mercury
- Medicines with Iodine in them
- Cancer medicines or drugs with a “cytotoxic” sticker (antineoplastic agents)
- Radioactive medicines (radiopharmaceuticals)
- Inhalers or other compressed air containers
- Illegal drugs
