Caitlin Cummings, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language pathologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital. After completing master's degrees in Spanish literature and speech-language pathology, she transitioned to the medical setting for a craniofacial speech-pathology fellowship at Nationwide Children's. Caitlin has presented locally, nationally and internationally on speech and resonance disorders in children with craniofacial anomalies.
Caitlin currently practices as a member of the Speech Pathology and Cleft Lip and Palate Teams at Nationwide Children's. She teaches courses on multicultural aspects of communication disorders and speech anatomy/physiology at the undergraduate level. Her research interests include early speech development in children with cleft lip and palate, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and bilingual speech development.
