Chest Wall Tumors

Chest wall tumors are growths that form in the protective structure surrounding the heart, lungs, and liver.

A variety of soft tissue tumors can present in the chest wall. Chest wall tumors include benign conditions, including neurofibromas, and malignant tumors, such as soft tissue sarcomas (e.g., Ewings sarcomarhabdomyosarcoma and others).

Treatment of chest wall tumors is dependent on factors such as the type of tumor and its location and size. Surgical interventions to remove the tumor are determined upon consultation with the surgeon.
