Biography
Gina began working at Nationwide Children's Hospital in 1992 and has experience in most areas of the speech-pathology discipline including: articulation, language, dysphagia, low-level alternative communication, autism spectrum disorder, and apraxia. She is particularly interested in apraxia and social skills in the autism population. Gina helped develop the SMART social skills program at the Hilliard Close to Home location and is collecting data regarding improvements in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder following participation in the SMART program. She also helped to establish the ACT group (Alternative Communication and Teaching). This is a group which allows children with alternative communication devices to practice using their device to interact with peers.
