Joshua J. Prudent, MD

Dr Prudent pursues a family-centered approach to clinical care, working to meet families where they are in his Urgent Cares while embodying the highest medical standards. In addition, he is passionate about health education, both of our patient population in their communities and of trainee physicians in the clinics, and about medical advocacy at the state and federal level, elevating child health topics to local elected officials. Dr Prudent has a particular interest in injury prevention work, keeping children safe from potential sources of trauma, and high value care, aiming to improve health outcomes while avoiding medical harms and minimizing unnecessary costs to patients and the medical system. Dr Prudent completed his pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital, after graduating medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Before pursuing medicine, he was a clinical laboratory scientist working in the field of commercial genetics. He comes from the San Francisco-area of California and the Milwaukee-area of Wisconsin, but is honored to call Ohio his true home.
