Jingcai Wang, PhD, serves as the Assistant Director of Clinical Chemistry and Immunology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. She holds certifications from the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Hematology Specialist and from the National Registry of Certified Chemists as a Clinical Chemist. Dr. Wang earned her medical degree (MD) in Clinical Medicine from Jining Medical University and her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Anatomy and Embryology from Southern Medical University in China.
Her professional interests include laboratory test utilization and harmonization, pre-analytical variation in laboratory testing, and the development of new biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis. Actively involved in professional organizations such as the Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine (ADLM, formerly AACC) and the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS), Dr. Wang is committed to contributing at both local and national levels, serving on various boards and committees.
