Biography
Gary L. Rogers, MD, is a member of the Department of Ophthalmology at Nationwide Children's Hospital and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His clinical interests include fMRI imaging in amblyopia, levodopa/ carbidopa and amblyopia, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). He has been the principal investigator for two multicenter National Institutes of Health grants, the CRYO-ROP study, which proved the efficacy of treatment for ROP, and the ETROP study, which demonstrated the benefit of earlier treatment for certain high-risk infants with ROP. He is Medical Editor of Pediatric Directions as well as Surgical Scene. Dr. Rogers is the past president of the Medical Staff at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Ophthalmological Society and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
