Your Pregnancy, Week 12

You’re likely noticing that your clothes feel a bit snug. This is because your abdomen is increasing in size to make room for your growing baby. By the end of this week, you’ll have reached the end of your first trimester.

Your unborn baby will have fully formed arms and legs. He or she will also have tiny fingernails and toenails on his or her hands and feet. His or her eyes now have eyelids. Your baby’s voice box, or larynx, is starting to form in the windpipe or trachea. Your baby's external genital organs have started forming, too. Your baby weighs in at about ½ to 1 ounce. He or she measures about 2 to 3 inches in length.
