Your Pregnancy, Week 8

You may have already had your first prenatal checkup. But if not, it will be coming up soon. Use these visits to ask questions and discuss any concerns you have about your pregnancy, care, or health.

At your appointments, your healthcare provider will ask questions about your health history. He or she will also do an exam. Your visits may also include laboratory tests. These may include urine and blood tests. Your healthcare provider may also offer you prenatal screening tests. These tests can check your baby's risk for certain birth defects.
