Your Pregnancy, Week 10

Baby pictures already?! You may get a glimpse of your baby if  your  healthcare provider suggests an ultrasound.  Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to show an image of your unborn baby. It also shows his or her surrounding tissues.

Ultrasounds may be done at any time during your pregnancy. It may be done during your first trimester to confirm your due date or check if you're having more than one baby. Healthcare providers also use ultrasounds to look at your uterus and check for any problems. You may have ultrasounds  later in your pregnancy to check your unborn baby's health, size, and position before birth.
