Inpatient Rehabilitation
Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, as part of the Section of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is located within Nationwide Children's Hospital. We offer a Comprehensive, Pediatric, Family-Centered Care Inpatient Rehabilitation Program.
The mission of the Rehabilitation Program is to provide comprehensive, family-centered, rehabilitative services to meet the physical, developmental, social, psychological and educational needs of our patients and families. These needs will be met through a coordinated program of rehabilitation, patient care, research and education.
We are accredited by CARF and TJC.
Our Mission, Philosophy, Values and Ethical Principles
Mission
To provide comprehensive family-centered physical rehabilitative services while embracing the diverse and individual needs of each child and family.
Philosophy
The philosophy of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program reflects our dedication to enhancing each patient’s functional abilities as well as providing support and education to the patient’s family. We believe children and adolescents who have experienced some loss in cognitive or physical functions have a greater chance of recovering part or all of their abilities when actively involved in a dynamic and progressive rehabilitation program. We are committed to providing comprehensive quality health care to children and adolescents.
