Sports Medicine in Schools and Organizations

Our partners receive expert care. For all of their serious athletes.

When schools and organizations partner with us, they receive athletic training and access to comprehensive care from the leaders in sports medicine.

At Nationwide Children’s, we work with coaches, athletic trainers and parents in many school districts throughout central Ohio to provide treatment for concussions and sports injuries. And to help athletes learn to prevent them in the first place.

Fighting For His Life | Gavin's COVID-19 Story

Gavin Braden started to feel sick on Jan. 12. Two days later, he was admitted to Nationwide Children's Hospital. This healthy football player with no pre-existing conditions was suffering from severe COVID-19 complications. And he was fighting for his life. Further testing showed he developed multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), a complication associated with COVID-19. Gavin would need a ventilator and dialysis. For two weeks, it was uncertain if he would make it. But Braden's a fighter.
