SBAT Learning Modules for School Staff
The School-Based Asthma Therapy Program (SBAT) Learning Modules provide school staff with a detailed description of the SBAT program, including:
- Which students are eligible to participate
- Referral process
- Program operations during the school year
- Helpful background information about asthma
- Details about types, and proper use, of asthma medications

Module 1: SBAT: Introduction to School Staff
This learning module provides an overview of the SBAT program, with an emphasis on the components that occur in the school setting.
Module 2: Asthma 101
This learning module offers a general review of asthma, with a focus on symptoms and treatment strategies.
Module 3: Medication and Spacer Use
This learning module discusses commonly used asthma medications, proper inhalation techniques (including use of spacers), and correct storage and cleaning of equipment.
