Prepare for your Outpatient Lab Visit

  • Parent or legal guardian must accompany the patient. Please bring a list of any medications, vitamins or herbal suplements the patient is currently taking with you to the appoinment.

  • Patient must be well hydrated.

  • Have the patient wear heavy winter clothing and a coat or snowsuit to keep them warm (this will help the sweating).

  • Be prepared to stay about 2 hours in the lab during the collection.

  • Please bring in any diapers/bottles/food that you feel necessary for this visit.

  • Blankets are not acceptable for promoting sweating unless the baby can lay still (not crawling).
