Biography

Lynne Ruess, MD, trained in pediatric medicine, diagnostic radiology and pediatric radiology at Children’s National Medical Center and the George Washington University Medical Center (Washington, DC). She has been a practicing board certified pediatric radiologist for over 20 years including the 12 years she enjoyed as a civilian radiologist at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.  While there, she served as the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Radiology.

Since November 2009, Dr. Ruess has been a staff pediatric radiologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She primarily works via tele-radiology during afternoon and evening hours. Most of her clinical work is interpretation of emergency department, urgent care and clinic (musculoskeletal and chest) radiographs as well as inpatient exams and urgent and emergent US and body CT. She is the section chief for general radiology and the physician leader of the radiology operational dyad on structured and standardized reporting. Many of her scientific presentations publications were projects undertaken to mentor trainees on the processes of research or quality improvement and publication. Her current research interests are in quality improvement.
