Improving Children’s Health by Improving the Community: Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families

One of Nationwide Children’s Hospital signature initiatives to improve outcomes for an entire population – Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families – was the recipient of the 2020 Hearst Health Prize.

This inspirational video, created during the award process, shows the impact that this geographically-based effort has made throughout the South Side of Columbus.

In presenting this prestigious award, the Hearst Health Prize administrators noted: “Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families has transformed the lives of the children in these neighborhoods in a way that will positively impact Columbus as a whole, and leads by example for other communities.”
