Our pediatric orthopedic team provides expert care to pediatric, adolescent and young adult patients in northwest Ohio. We treat children of all ages with varying orthopedic conditions, ranging from a baby with a congenital disorder, to a teenager with scoliosis or an athletic injury, to a young adult with a limb length discrepancy and everyone in between. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation, every child receives individualized care and thorough evaluation to determine their best course of treatment.

Hadeel Abaza

Hadeel Abaza

Hadeel Abaza, MD, is a board certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Nationwide Children’s Hospital - Toledo. She earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo Medical Center, received her residency training at the Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and completed her pediatric orthopedic fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Dr. Abaza has expertise in evaluating and treating the full-spectrum of general pediatric orthopedic conditions with a clinical interest in hip, knee and foot issues as well as pediatric trauma and non-operative scoliosis.

Phillip Stokey

Phillip J. Stokey

Phillip J. Stokey, MD, is pediatric orthopedic surgeon treating patients with sports related orthopedic injuries at Nationwide Children’s - Toledo and ProMedica Physicians Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Stokey earned his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, received his residency training at the University of Toledo and completed a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He diagnoses and treats children who have issues in their bones, muscles, and joints that inhibit movement or cause pain. Dr. Stokey’s primary clinical interests include pediatric adolescent sports medicine and pediatric trauma. He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) and is an Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) inductee. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he was the mascot, Brutus Buckeye. He enjoys exercising, spending time with family and rooting on the Ohio State Buckeye’s football team.
