Free Professional Behavioral Health Education on Demand

Nationwide Children’s has recently launched a Behavioral Health Learning Library for a wide range of medical and mental health professionals – dentists, social workers, physician assistants and many more –  to help them help their patients.

The courses are free, on-demand, interactive, and can be used to claim continuing education credits in many cases.

“We understand that many more professionals want behavioral education, but we know that there are multiple barriers to accessing evidence-based training,” says Shelby Snodgrass, MPH, senior learning consultant in Behavioral Education at Nationwide Children’s. “We hope that this resource helps alleviate these barriers for providers across the nation.”

Among the available courses:

  • ZerOH Suicide: Youth suicide rates continue to rise. The ZerOH Suicide Academy initiative aims to increase the effectiveness of risk assessment and safety planning. This curriculum covers topics such as suicide screening, intervention, recovery, and care transitions.
  • Primary Care Resources: These resources will provide primary care clinicians with education on a variety of topics, including behavioral health integration, treatment plans, medication management, and more.
