Yaffa R. Gewirtz, MD

Yaffa R. Gewirtz, MD, is an attending physician in Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She also is a member of the Pediatric Analgesia and Sedation Service. Dr. Gewirtz’s interests include the use of patient simulation to promote effective team work and promote safety in the medical environment and EMS. She enjoys precepting medical students and residents in the Emergency Department, as well as participating in continuing education with MedFlight. Dr. Gewirtz’s research interests include mild head injury in children.
