The Women's Board of Nationwide Children's Hospital was part of the original vision of the hospital when it was founded in 1892. For more than 119 years, the Women's Board has been serving the hospital and raising funds to support the hospital's mission of providing outstanding health care to all children, no matter what their family's financial situation.
The Women's Board signature event is the Junior Golf Classic held each summer. Junior golfers from around Ohio come together for this one day event with the theme of “Healthy Kids Helping Sick Kids”. Register now!
The Women's Board is looking for new members who are excited to help promote Nationwide Children's Hospital throughout our community. If you are interested, please contact Dee Dee English.

Eulalie (Lee) Hess and Mary E. Murphy Endowment Children’s Hospital Volunteer of the Year
Congratulations to Cindy Bitter, the 2014 Volunteer of the Year. Cindy is a 16-year active member of Women’s Board, during which time she has served on the Junior Golf Classic (JGC) golf tournament, including as the event Chair for more than 10 years. During Cindy’s tenure, the JGC has become the Women’s Board’s signature event and Cindy was instrumental in keeping the JGC tournament going even when the Women’s Board became inactive in the early 2000s. The words that best describe Cindy are humble, dedicated, hardworking, honest, and passionate. Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Women’s Board are fortunate to have found such a tremendous, long-time volunteer in Cindy Bitter.
